Interview with Barry Gilligan, Chairman of the Northern Ireland Policing Board - Part Three
In this final part of the interview, Barry Gilligan talks about ASBOs - Anti Social Behaviour Orders. He feels that too many people are 'dragged into the Criminal Justice system' - and that much more could be done to engage young people in policing.
He sees communication as the key, and sees the Board as a conduit in building a stronger relationship between young people and the police. He feels both the Policing Board and the Police should get more involved in schools.
