Wednesday 14 April 10

The Belfast Children’s Festival is an annual international arts event for children under 14 years, their families, schools and youth groups, offering theatre, puppetry, music, story-telling, literature and visual arts in a mix of performances and participatory workshops. The festival presents a balance of work from Northern Ireland, the UK and international work, attracting over 11,000 children and adults each year to its events.

The next Belfast Children’s Festival take place from 21st – 30th May 2010.

Are you interested in the art? Do you want to work with children and young people? Do you want to learn new skills and meet new people?

Young at Art has a range of challenging and fun opportunities to involve volunteers aged 14 and up.

No arts experience is necessary but an interest in enabling children and young people to explore their creativity is a must. All necessary training will be supplied. Events take place on weekdays and weekends, in mornings, afternoons and some evenings throughout the festival.
