Belfast Computer Clubhouse launches Arts and Digital Media Festival

The Belfast Computer Clubhouse (BCCH) has launched its first Arts and Digital Media Festival giving young people in Belfast the opportunity to change the face of technology and be part of a worldwide initiative.

From 1st July to 28th August, the young people of the BCCH, invite their peers to join them in exploring technology in an inclusive, cross community environment. Through a series of digital media workshops, cross community and cross border collaborations, participants will create, invent and design to reflect their own interpretation on the festival theme.

BCCH will also be holding its first Children's Photography Competition in partnership with the Community Arts Forum (CAF) and facilitating Digital Media Workshops as part of the Féile Festival Programme 2009. Mervyn Smith, Belfast Exposed, Tina McCann, West Belfast Partnership Board, Ryan Darragh, CAF and Patrick O'Neill, IT Tutor, Springvale Training Ltd, will judge the submissions and pick the winner and runner up.
