Children’s Commissioner seeking new recruits

NICCY (Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People), are  recruiting 10 new members to join the NICCY Youth Panel. The NICCY Youth Panel (NYP) is there to help the Commissioner, Patricia Lewsley in her day-to-day work.

The Youth Panel is made up of young people who share their experiences and thoughts with the Commissioner and her staff and help NICCY make decisions about issues that affect children and young people.

The panel's aim is to empower and help children and young people develop as well as making sure young people are heard in the media.

NICCY have also recently launched the ‘Make It Right’(hyperlink it) campaign, which aims to encourage young people to write to their local MLAs about issues that affect them in their communities and in their daily life.
