A teacher stripped of a beauty queen title for lying about her age and where she lived has won another competition in a neighboring county.

Teacher Laura Anness aged 27 has Finally won a beauty queen title as Miss Plymouth 2010 the higher aged limited competition. she had entered Miss Cornwall in 2006,2007,2008 and 2010 with her age at 22 each year, after the entry documents were reviewed, the lies about her age came to light. lying about her age and where she lived had lead to her being stripped from her this year.
When found out she confronted the press and said that she had lied about it all just to ‘Prove a Point’

The rules of the competition for the title of Miss Cornwall state that the age  of the entrants must be aged 17-24 and living and working within the county. when confronted with the evidence of having a four year old child and being aged 27 she said the reason for the lies was to “follow her dream” also during the visit to her home it was discovered that she actually lived in Plymouth yet another lie was developed.

As well as being ‘STRIPPED’ from her title, she was forced to return the prize money £2,000 that she had already spent, give up an amazing 12 month modeling contract and the chance to represent Cornwall in the Miss England final, at the NEC Birmingham at the end of this summer. The winner of Miss England goes on to compete in Miss World.
