First ever Culture Night Belfast launched

The first ever Culture Night in Belfast , will be launch in the city's historic Cathedral Quarter on Friday 25th September, from 4pm - 10pm.
Inspired by similar evenings in other major European cities such as Reykjavik, Copenhagen and Dublin, 96 organisations in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter will be taking part in it.
Belfast's unique take on this European phenomenon will see venues, artists' studios, galleries, historic buildings, cultural organisations, churches and more in the area throw open their doors for what organisers say promises to be a magical cultural experience.
Programme highlights reveal that the entire Cathedral Quarter will be given over to street performances, live music, spectacular illuminations and taster tours, including the famous Belfast Literary Tour and a walking tour with local cultural legend Terri Hooley.
Other highlights include an opportunity to interact with the leading local professional theatre companies in the Potthouse Bar, a chance to take part in Chilli Fest, a marquee in writer's square featuring top local and international music acts, a very special barbershop quartet in Lower Garfield Street and helium karaoke!
All Culture Night activities will be free and open to everyone. Enjoy it!
