Drum-a-thon

Gathering Drum's Joe Loughlin is going to hold a "Drum-a-thon" on Saturday the 15th of August, at Stranmillis YMCA, Knightsbridge Park, Belfast to support the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
The idea is that yourself and as many people as you can invite come along and take part in a rhythm event, where you play hand drums and various percussion toys. If you've ever been to a drum circle, you'll know it's fantastic fun, and family friendly.
He is trying to run 3 to 4 circles on the day, so that you can come to a session that suits you.
If this is something you would be interested in coming along to, then send him your email address and he'll can send you a sponsorship form or, as it's approaching the event, you can just make a voluntary donation on the day.

- About Joe...
Joe is a qualified youth worker with a passion for leadership training and community relations work. This experience puts him a great position to link the effectiveness of drum circles to the issues of team building, community building, confidence and effective group work.
He has a rich and diverse musical background, playing almost a dozen different instruments. In July 2008, Joe decided to establish his own business in drum circle faciliatation as demand was increasing for rhythm based events.
The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a registered charity, which offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 21, who are living with cancer, and their families.
