We made a film with Will and the folks at Public Achievement - it was great fun.  We then met with the other groups at the Belfast Activity Centre, and we are looking forward to going with them on a residential.  In the film we talked about the area and the local park which is where we hang out.

The Black Mountain Action Group started to work together for this Peace Channel Project in September 2009.  We wanted to show everybody the community we live in and what our lives are like here.  We walked around taking pictures of the most important places and we had a few moments of reflection on the role the 'peace wall' plays in our daily life.  “It’s nice and it’s not nice”, it makes people feel safer but, at the same time, it doesn’t allow us to know people from the other side and increases our fear towards “the others”.

We also thought about the things we would like to improve in our community and a new and bigger youth club would be really nice ;-)  So we eventually made this film where we show are views and thoughts with everyone…hope you like it!

We are looking forward to doing more on this and to working with the other groups - particularly on the residential!
